✧ The collection of chapters on acts permitted during fasting concerning which the scholars differed as to their permissibility

حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:

رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ، فَرَغِبَ عَنْهُ رِجَالٌ، فَقَالَ: مَا بَالُ رِجَالٍ آمُرُهُمْ بِالْأَمْرِ يَرْغَبُونَ عَنْهُ ؟ وَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُهُمْ بِاللهِ، وَأَشَدُّهُمْ خَشْيَةً

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave a concession in some matter, but some men abstained from it. He said: What is the matter with men whom I command regarding a matter and they abstain from it? By Allah, I am the most knowledgeable of them about Allah, and the most intense in fear of Him.
