✧ The collection of chapters on acts permitted during fasting concerning which the scholars differed as to their permissibility

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ:

نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَيْبَرَ وَنَزَلْتُ مَعَهُ، فَدَعَانِي بِكُحْلِ إِثْمِدٍ، فَاكْتَحَلَ فِي رَمَضَانَ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ - إِثْمِدٌ غَيْرُ مُمَسَّكٍ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped at Khaybar, and I stopped with him. He called me for kohl of antimony and applied it during Ramadan while fasting—antimony that was not perfumed.
