✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say one day, when Ramadan had begun: "If the servants knew what Ramadan is, my community would wish that the whole year were Ramadan." A man from Khuza'ah said: "O Prophet of Allah, tell us." He said: "Paradise is adorned for Ramadan from the beginning of the year to the next year. When the first day of Ramadan comes, a wind blows from beneath the Throne and rustles the leaves of Paradise. The houris with wide eyes look at that and say: 'O Lord, appoint for us spouses from Your servants in this month, by whom our eyes will be delighted and their eyes will be delighted by us.' He said: 'There is no servant who fasts a day of Ramadan except that he is wedded to a wife from the houris with wide eyes in a tent of pearl, as Allah [Mighty and Majestic] described: 'Houris, restrained in pavilions.' Upon each woman are seventy garments, no garment of which is the same color as another. She is given seventy kinds of perfume, no kind of which has the same scent as another. For each woman among them are seventy thousand maidservants for her needs and seventy thousand servant boys, and with each servant boy is a platter of gold containing a kind of food, the last morsel of which has a pleasure not found in the first. For each woman among them are seventy couches of red ruby, on each couch seventy mattresses, their linings of rich brocade, and above each mattress seventy canopied beds. Her husband is given the like of that on a couch of red ruby, adorned with pearls, with two bracelets of gold upon him. This is for every day he fasted in Ramadan, apart from what he did of good deeds."
