أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ:

اخْتَلَفُوا فِي مِنْبَرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ هُوَ ؟ فَأَرْسَلُوا إِلَى سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، فَقَالَ: مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ النَّاسِ أَحَدٌ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي، هُوَ مِنْ أَثْلِ الْغَابَةِ

Translation

✧ They differed about the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, what it was made of. They sent to Sahl b. Sa'd, and he said: 'No one among the people remains who knows it better than I. It is from the tamarisk of al-Ghabah.'
