✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to stand on Friday leaning his back against a wooden pillar, a trunk, or a palm tree — al-Mubarak was uncertain — and when the people became numerous, he said: 'Build a pulpit for me.' So they built him a pulpit. When he turned to it, the piece of wood moaned like a grieving mother, and it did not cease until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ descended from the pulpit, came to it, and embraced it, and it became still.
