✧ The chapters on the excuse that permits abandoning attendance at the congregation

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا النَّجِيبِ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ

ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الثُّومُ وَالْبَصَلُ وَالْكُرَّاثُ، وَقِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَأَشَدُّ ذَلِكَ كُلِّهِ الثُّومُ، أَفَتُحَرِّمُهُ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " كُلُوهُ، وَمَنْ أَكَلَهُ مِنْكُمْ فَلَا يَقْرَبْ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدَ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ رِيحُهُ مِنْهُ

✧ Garlic, onions, and leeks were mentioned before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and it was said: O Messenger of Allah, the strongest of all that is garlic; will you forbid it? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Eat it, but whoever among you eats it must not come near this mosque until its smell leaves him."
