أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ( وَهُوَ ابْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ) عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ الْبَصَلِ وَالْكُرَّاثِ قَالَ: وَلَمْ يَكُنْ بِبَلَدِنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ الثُّومُ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ أَكَلَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةِ فَلَا يَقْرَبَنَّ مَسْجِدَنَا؛ فَإِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تَتَأَذَّى مِمَّا يَتَأَذَّى مِنْهُ الْإِنْسُ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ forbade eating onions and leeks. He said: There was no garlic in our land at that time. He said: Whoever eats from this plant must not come near our mosque, for the angels are harmed by what harms humans.
