أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرِ بْنِ سَابِقٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ: أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ:

بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِذْ سَمِعَ جَلَبَةً، فَقَالَ: " مَا شَأْنُكُمْ " ؟ قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، اسْتَعْجَلْنَا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ. قَالَ: " فَلَا تَفْعَلُوا، إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَا تَقُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْنِي، وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّكِينَةُ، فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا، وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا

✧ While we were with the Messenger of God ﷺ, he heard a noise. He said: What is the matter with you? They said: O Messenger of God, we hurried to the prayer. He said: Do not do that. When the prayer has been established, do not stand until you see me. You must be calm. Whatever you catch, pray, and whatever you miss, complete.
