أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ بِشْرِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ السُّلَمِيُّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ: عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ:

انْطَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ، فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ، فَجَاءَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ، فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَتَقَدَّمَ النَّاسَ، وَأَنْ يَؤُمَّهُمْ، فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، فَخَرَقَ الصُّفُوفَ حَتَّى قَامَ فِي الصَّفِّ الْمُقَدَّمِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went to reconcile between Banu 'Amr b. 'Awf. The prayer time came, so the mu'adhdhin came to Abu Bakr and ordered him to lead the people in prayer. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and split the rows until he stood in the front row.
