✧ I spent the night at my maternal aunt Maymunah's. When it was part of the night, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up to pray. He went to a hanging water-skin, performed a light ablution, then stood and prayed. I got up and performed ablution, doing the same as he had done. Then I stood on his left, and he moved me to his right. He prayed as long as Allah willed, then lay down and slept until he snored. Then the mu'adhdhin came to him to announce the prayer, so he went out and prayed." This is the hadith of 'Abd al-Jabbar. Al-Makhzumi said: from Kurayb, and he said: "So he went out and prayed without performing ablution." And he said: He described his ablution, making it light.
