✧ Strict Warning Against Imams Who Neglect Completing the Prayer and Delay It

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ( ح ) وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَرْمَلَةَ، ( ح ) وَحَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ:

مَنْ أَمَّ النَّاسَ فَأَصَابَ الْوَقْتَ وَأَتَمَّ الصَّلَاةَ فَلَهُ وَلَهُمْ، وَمَنِ انْتَقَصَ مِنْ ذَلِكِ شَيْئًا، فَعَلَيْهِ وَلَا عَلَيْهِمْ

✧ Whoever leads the people in prayer and hits the right time and completes the prayer, then it is for him and for them. And whoever falls short of anything of that, it is on him and not on them.
