✧ A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying, "O Messenger of Allah, we travel by sea and carry a small amount of water. If we perform ablution with it, we become thirsty. May we perform ablution with seawater?" He said, "Its water is purifying, its dead animals are lawful." This is the hadith of Yunus. Yahya b. Hakim said: from Safwan b. Sulaym, and he did not say "from the family of Ibn al-Azraq" or "from Banu Abd al-Dar". He said: "We ride the sea for long periods."
