Translation
✧ A chapter mentioning the clarification against the statement of one who claimed that the one who catches a rak'ah of the Fajr prayer before sunrise has not caught the Fajr, claiming that he has gone out of the prayer time to a non-prayer time, thus differentiating between what the Prophet ﷺ combined, and contradicting the chosen Prophet ﷺ out of ignorance, whereas the chosen Prophet, who informed that the one who catches a rak'ah before sunrise has caught the prayer, knew that he goes out of the prayer time to a non-prayer time, yet made him as having caught the prayer, like the one who catches a rak'ah or two rak'ahs of 'Asr before sunset, even though he goes out from one time to a prayer time.

machine translationHishām b. Sa'd narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. It was narrated from Hishām b. Sa'd, from Zayd b. Aslam, from al-A'raj and Busr b. Sa'īd; and from Zayd b. Aslam and Abū Ḥāzim b. Dīnār, from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from Abū Hurayrah. Ibn Abī Fudayk differed with him and narrated it from Hishām b. Sa'd, from Zayd b. Aslam, from al-A'raj, Busr b. Sa'īd and Abū Ṣāliḥ, from Abū Hurayrah. Ḥafṣ b. Maysarah and Zuhayr b. Muḥammad likewise narrated it from Zayd b. Aslam. It was said from Zuhayr, from Zayd b. Aslam, from al-A'raj and Busr b. Sa'īd, from the brothers of Abū Ṣāliḥ, from Abū Hurayrah. Rawḥ b. al-Qāsim said: from Zayd b. Aslam, from al-A'raj and so-and-so, in error, from Abū Hurayrah. Ibn Yaḥyā b. Khālid said: from Zayd b. Aslam, from al-A'raj and 'Aṭā' b. Yasār, from Abū Hurayrah. Abū Ghassān Muḥammad b. Muṭarrif and al-Thawrī said: from Zayd b. Aslam, from 'Aṭā' b. Yasār alone, from Abū Hurayrah. Likewise Maḥmūd b. Khālid al-Dimashqī said, from 'Īsā b. Khālid, from Mālik. The companions of Mālik in the Muwaṭṭa' narrated it from him, from Zayd b. Aslam, from 'Aṭā' b. Yasār, Busr b. Sa'īd and al-A'raj, from Abū Hurayrah. Likewise al-Darāwardī said, from Zayd b. Aslam. Ya'qūb al-Iskandarānī said: from Zayd, from Abū Hurayrah, as a mursal report. The view of Mālik and those who followed him is closest to the correct one. Muḥammad b. Aḥmad b. 'Amr b. 'Abd al-Khāliq narrated to us, Ibrāhīm b. Muḥammad, who is Ibn Nāyilah, narrated to us, Muḥammad b. al-Mughīrah narrated to us, al-Nu'mān narrated to us, Sufyān narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Dhakwān, from Abū Hurayrah, who said: Whoever catches one rak'ah of Fajr before sunrise has caught it, and whoever catches one rak'ah of 'Asr before sunset has caught it. He said: and Ibrāhīm narrated to us, Muḥammad b. al-Mughīrah narrated to us, al-Nu'mān narrated to us, from Sufyān, from Muḥammad b. 'Amr, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, the like of that.
