The idols among the people of Noah
[ هُبَلُ ] قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَكَانَتْ قُرَيْشٌ قَدْ اتَّخَذَتْ صَنَمًا عَلَى بِئْرٍ فِي جَوْفِ الْكَعْبَةِ يُقَالُ لَهُ: هُبَلُ. قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: سَأَذْكُرُ حَدِيثَهُ إنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ فِي مَوْضِعِهِ
Translation
✧ [Hubal] Ibn Isḥāq said: Quraysh had taken an idol at a well in the interior of the Kaʿbah called Hubal. Ibn Hishām said: I shall mention its account, God willing, in its place.
