The number of Aws who were present at Badr
[ مِنْ بَنِي زَيْدٍ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ غَنْمٍ: مَسْعُودُ بْنُ أَوْسِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، وَأَبُو خُزَيْمَةَ بْنُ أَوْسِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَصْرَمَ بْنِ زَيْدِ، وَرَافِعُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سَوَادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ. ثَلَاثَةُ نَفَرٍ. [ مِنْ بَنِي سَوَادٍ وَحُلَفَائِهِمْ ] وَمِنْ بَنِي سَوَادِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ: عَوْفٌ، وَمُعَوِّذٌ، وَمُعَاذٌ، بَنُو الْحَارِثِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ سَوَادٍ وَهُمْ بَنُو عَفْرَاءَ
Translation
✧ [From the Banū Zayd] And from the Banū Zayd b. Thaʿlabah b. Ghanm: Masʿūd b. Aws b. Zayd, Abū Khuzaymah b. Aws b. Zayd b. Aṣram b. Zayd, and Rāfiʿ b. al-Ḥārith b. Sawād b. Zayd. Three persons. [From the Banū Sawād and their allies] And from the Banū Sawād b. Mālik b. Ghanm: ʿAwf, Muʿawwidh, and Muʿādh, sons of al-Ḥārith b. Rifāʿah b. Sawād; they are the sons of ʿAfrāʾ.
