The sending of the Prophet and the prophecies of Saṭīḥ and Shiqq

[ بَعْثَةُ النَّبِيِّ، وَنُبُوءَةُ سَطِيحٍ وَشِقٍّ ] قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: فَهُوَ الَّذِي عَنَى سَطِيحٌ بِقَوْلِهِ: نَبِيٌّ زَكِيٌّ، يَأْتِيهِ الْوَحْيُ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْعَلِيِّ. وَاَلَّذِي عَنَى شِقٌّ بِقَوْلِهِ: بَلْ يَنْقَطِعُ بِرَسُولِ مُرْسَلٍ، يَأْتِي بِالْحَقِّ وَالْعَدْلِ، مِنْ أَهْلِ الدِّينِ وَالْفَضْلِ، يَكُونُ الْمُلْكُ فِي قَوْمِهِ إلَى يَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ

Translation

✧ [The mission of the Prophet, and the prophecies of Saṭīḥ and Shiqq] Ibn Hishām said: He is the one whom Saṭīḥ meant by his saying: "A pure prophet, to whom revelation comes from the Exalted One." And the one whom Shiqq meant by his saying: "Rather, it will be severed by a sent Messenger, who brings truth and justice, from the people of religion and excellence; the kingdom shall remain among his people until the Day of Decision."
