The capture of Abū al-ʿĀṣ b. al-Rabīʿ
[ أَسْرُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ ] قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَقَدْ كَانَ فِي الْأُسَارَى أَبُو الْعَاصِ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى بْنِ عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ، خَتَنُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ، وَزَوْجُ ابْنَتِهِ زَيْنَبَ. قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: أَسَرَهُ خِرَاشُ بْنُ الصِّمَّةَ، أَحَدُ بَنِي حَرَامٍ
Translation
✧ [The capture of Abū al-ʿĀṣ b. al-Rabīʿ] Ibn Isḥāq said: Among the captives was Abū al-ʿĀṣ b. al-Rabīʿ b. ʿAbd al-ʿUzzā b. ʿAbd Shams, the son-in-law of the Messenger of God ﷺ and the husband of his daughter Zaynab. Ibn Hishām said: Khirāsh b. al-Ṣimmah, one of the Banū Ḥarām, captured him.
