Genealogical sequence from the descendants of Ishmael (peace be upon him)

[ مَوْطِنُ هَاجَرَ ] قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: تَقُولُ الْعَرَبُ: هَاجَرَ وَآجَرَ فَيُبْدِلُونَ الْأَلِفَ مِنْ الْهَاءِ كَمَا قَالُوا: هَرَاقَ الْمَاءَ، وَأَرَاقَ الْمَاءَ وَغَيْرَهُ. وَهَاجَرُ مِنْ أَهْلِ مِصْرَ

Translation

✧ [The homeland of Hajar] Ibn Hisham said: The Arabs say Hājar and Ājar, substituting the alif for the hāʾ, as they say harāqa al-māʾ and arāqa al-māʾ and similar cases. And Hājar was from the people of Egypt.
