The names of those who attended the ʿAqabah
[ تَصْوِيبُ نَسَبِ خَدِيجِ بْنِ سَلَامَةَ ] قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: أَوْسٌ: ابْنُ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُذَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ. [ مَنْ شَهِدَهَا مِنْ بَنِي عَوْفِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ تسمية من شهد العقبة الثانية منهم ] قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَمِنْ بَنِي عَوْفِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ؛ ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي سَالِمِ بْنِ عَوْفِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ: عُبَادَةُ بْنُ الصَّامِتِ بْنِ قِيسِ بْنِ أَصْرَمَ بْنِ فِهْرِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ غَنْمِ بْنِ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، نَقِيبٌ، شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَالْمَشَاهِدَ كُلَّهَا. قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: هُوَ غَنْمُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، أَخُو سَالِمِ بْنِ عَوْفِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ. قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَالْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ نَضْلَةَ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْعِجْلَانِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ غَنْمِ بْنِ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، وَكَانَ مِمَّنْ خَرَجَ إلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ بِمَكَّةَ، فَأَقَامَ مَعَهُ بِهَا، فَكَانَ يُقَالُ لَهُ: مُهَاجِرِيٌّ أَنْصَارِيٌّ، وَقُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ شَهِيدًا. وَأَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ خَزَمَةَ بْنِ أَصْرَمَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَمَّارَةَ، حَلِيفٌ لَهُمْ مِنْ بَنِي غُصَيْنَةَ مِنْ بَلِيٍّ. وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ لَبْدَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ. أَرْبَعَةُ نَفَرٍ، وَهُمْ الْقَوَاقِلُ
Translation
✧ [Correction of the genealogy of Khadīj b. Salāmah] Ibn Hishām said: Aws: son of ʿAbbād b. ʿAdī b. Kaʿb b. ʿAmr b. Udhan b. Saʿd. [Those who attended it from the Banū ʿAwf b. al-Khazraj — a listing of those who attended the second ʿAqabah from among them] Ibn Isḥāq said: And from the Banū ʿAwf b. al-Khazraj; then from the Banū Sālim b. ʿAwf b. ʿAmr b. ʿAwf b. al-Khazraj: ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit b. Qays b. Aṣram b. Fihr b. Thaʿlabah b. Ghanm b. Sālim b. ʿAwf, a naqīb, who attended Badr and all the battles. Ibn Hishām said: He is Ghanm b. ʿAwf, the brother of Sālim b. ʿAwf b. ʿAmr b. ʿAwf b. al-Khazraj. Ibn Isḥāq said: And al-ʿAbbās b. ʿUbādah b. Naḍlah b. Mālik b. al-ʿIjlān b. Zayd b. Ghanm b. Sālim b. ʿAwf, and he was among those who went out to the Messenger of God ﷺ while he was in Makkah, and he stayed with him there, so he was called a Muhājirī Anṣārī, and he was killed on the day of Uḥud as a martyr. And Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān Yazīd b. Thaʿlabah b. Khazamah b. Aṣram b. ʿAmr b. ʿAmmārah, an ally of theirs from the Banū Ghuṣaynah of Balī. And ʿAmr b. al-Ḥārith b. Labdah b. ʿAmr b. Thaʿlabah. Four persons, and they are the Qawāqil.
