The names of those who attended the ʿAqabah

[ مَنْ شَهِدَهَا مِنْ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ تسمية من شهد العقبة الثانية منهم ] وَمِنْ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْأَوْسِ: سَعْدُ بْنُ خَيْثَمَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ النَّحَّاطِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ غَنْمِ بْنِ السَّلْمِ بْنِ امْرِئِ الْقَيْسِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْأَوْسِ، نَقِيبٌ، شَهِدَ بَدْرًا، فَقُتِلَ بِهِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ شَهِيدًا. قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: وَنَسَبَهُ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ فِي بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ؛ وَهُوَ مِنْ بَنِي غَنْمِ بْنِ السَّلْمِ، لِأَنَّهُ رُبَّمَا كَانَتْ دَعْوَةُ الرَّجُلِ فِي الْقَوْمِ، وَيَكُونُ فِيهِمْ فَيُنْسَبُ إلَيْهِمْ. قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَرِفَاعَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ زَنْبَرَ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَوْفِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو نَقِيبٌ، شَهِدَ بَدْرًا. وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ الْبُرَكِ - وَاسْمُ الْبُرَكِ: امْرُؤُ الْقَيْسِ بْنُ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو ( بْنِ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْأَوْسِ ) - شَهِدَ بَدْرًا، وَقُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ شَهِيدًا أَمِيرًا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى الرُّمَاةِ، وَيُقَالُ: أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ الْبَرْكِ، فِيمَا قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ. قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: وَمَعْنُ بْنُ عَدِيِّ بْنِ الْجَدِّ بْنِ الْعَجْلَانِ بْنِ ( حَارِثَةَ ) بْنِ ضُبَيْعَةَ، حَلِيفٌ لَهُمْ مِنْ بَلِيٍّ، شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَأُحُدًا وَالْخَنْدَقَ، وَمَشَاهِدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ كُلَّهَا، قُتِلَ يَوْمَ الْيَمَامَةِ شَهِيدًا فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ ؓ. وَعُوَيْمُ بْنُ سَاعِدَةَ، شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَأُحُدًا وَالْخَنْدَقَ. خَمْسَةُ نَفَرٍ. فَجَمِيعُ مَنْ شَهِدَ الْعَقَبَةَ مِنْ الْأَوْسِ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ رَجُلًا

Translation

✧ Those who were present from the Banū ʿAmr b. ʿAwf: a list of those who were present at the second ʿAqabah from them. And from the Banū ʿAmr b. ʿAwf Mālik b. al-Aws: Saʿd b. Khaythamah b. al-Ḥārith b. Mālik b. Kaʿb b. al-Naḥḥāṭ b. Kaʿb b. Ḥārithah b. Ghanm b. al-Salm b. Imriʾ al-Qays b. Mālik b. al-Aws, a naqīb, he was present at Badr, and was killed there with the Messenger of God ﷺ as a martyr. Ibn Hishām said: Ibn Isḥāq traced his lineage among the Banū ʿAmr b. ʿAwf, but he is from the Banū Ghanm b. al-Salm, because a man's affiliation may be with a people and he may be among them, so he is attributed to them. Ibn Isḥāq said: And Rifāʿah b. ʿAbd al-Mundhir b. Zanbar b. Zayd b. Umayyah b. Zayd b. Mālik b. ʿAwf b. ʿAmr, a naqīb, he was present at Badr. And ʿAbd Allāh b. Jubayr b. al-Nuʿmān b. Umayyah b. al-Burak — and the name of al-Burak is Imruʾ al-Qays b. Thaʿlabah b. ʿAmr (b. ʿAwf b. Mālik b. al-Aws) — he was present at Badr, and was killed on the day of Uḥud as a martyr, being the commander of the archers for the Messenger of God ﷺ; it is also said: Umayyah b. al-Bark, according to what Ibn Hishām said. Ibn Isḥāq said: And Maʿn b. ʿAdī b. al-Jadd b. al-ʿAjlān b. (Ḥārithah) b. Ḍubayʿah, an ally of theirs from Balī, he was present at Badr, Uḥud, and the Trench, and all the expeditions of the Messenger of God ﷺ; he was killed on the day of al-Yamāmah as a martyr in the caliphate of Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq ؓ. And ʿUwaym b. Sāʿidah, he was present at Badr, Uḥud, and the Trench. Five individuals. Thus the total of those who were present at al-ʿAqabah from the Aws is eleven men.
