The first pledge at al-ʿAqabah and Muṣʿab b. ʿUmayr
[ رِجَالُ الْعَقَبَةِ مِنْ الْأَوْسِ ] وَشَهِدَهَا مِنْ الْأَوْسِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَامِرٍ، ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ بْنِ جُشَمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْأَوْسِ: أَبُو الْهَيْثَمِ بْنُ التَّيِّهَانِ، وَاسْمُهُ مَالِكٌ قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: التَّيِّهَانُ: يُخَفَّفُ وَيُثَقَّلُ، كَقَوْلِهِ مَيْتٌ وَمَيِّتٌ. [ رِجَالُ الْعَقَبَةِ الْأُولَى مِنْ بَنِي عَمْرٍو ] وَمِنْ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْأَوْسِ: عُوَيْمُ بْنُ سَاعِدَةَ
Translation
✧ [The men of al-ʿAqabah from the Aws] Those of the Aws b. Ḥārithah b. Thaʿlabah b. ʿAmr b. ʿĀmir who witnessed it, then from the Banū ʿAbd al-Ashhal b. Jusham b. al-Ḥārith b. al-Khazraj b. ʿAmr b. Mālik b. al-Aws: Abū al-Haytham b. al-Tayyihān, whose name was Mālik. Ibn Hishām said: al-Tayyihān: it is pronounced both lightly and with doubling, like his saying mayt and mayyit. [The men of the first al-ʿAqabah from the Banū ʿAmr] And from the Banū ʿAmr b. ʿAwf b. Mālik b. al-Aws: ʿUwaym b. Sāʿidah.
