Account of the wells of the clans of Quraysh in Makkah
[ سُقَيَّةُ وَمَنْ حَفَرَهَا ] وَحَفَرَتْ بَنُو أَسَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى سُقَيَّةَ، وَهِيَ بِئْرُ بَنِي أَسَدٍ. [ أُمُّ أَحْرَادٍ وَمَنْ حَفَرَهَا ] وَحَفَرَتْ بَنُو عَبْدِ الدَّارِ أُمَّ أَحْرَادٍ
Translation
✧ [Suqayyah and who dug it] The Banū Asad b. ʿAbd al-ʿUzzā dug Suqayyah, and it is the well of the Banū Asad. [Umm Aḥrād and who dug it] The Banū ʿAbd al-Dār dug Umm Aḥrād.
