His marriage to Umm Ḥabībah
[ زَوَاجُهُ بِأُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ ] وَتَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ، وَاسْمُهَا رَمْلَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، زَوَّجَهُ إيَّاهَا خَالِدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ، وَهُمَا بِأَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ، وَأَصْدَقَهَا النَّجَاشِيُّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَرْبَعَ مِئَةِ دِينَارٍ، وَهُوَ الَّذِي كَانَ خَطَبَهَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ، وَكَانَتْ قَبْلَهُ عِنْدَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَحْشٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ
Translation
✧ [His marriage to Umm Ḥabībah] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married Umm Ḥabībah, whose name was Ramlah bt. Abī Sufyān b. Ḥarb. Khālid b. Saʿīd b. al-ʿĀṣ gave her in marriage to him while they were in the land of Abyssinia. The Negus paid her dower on behalf of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, four hundred dinars. He was the one who sought her hand for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Before him she had been married to ʿUbayd Allāh b. Jaḥsh al-Asadī.
