The Descendants of Ishmael and Jurhum in Makkah

Translation

✧ [The descendants of Ismāʿīl and Jurhum in Makkah] Then God spread the descendants of Ismāʿīl throughout Makkah, while their maternal uncles from Jurhum were the guardians of the House and the governors in Makkah. The descendants of Ismāʿīl did not dispute with them over that because of their maternal kinship and relationship, and out of veneration for the sanctuary, so that no aggression or fighting might occur within it. When Makkah became too confined for the descendants of Ismāʿīl, they spread throughout the lands. They did not contend with any people but that God made them prevail over them by means of their religion, so they subdued them.
