The affair of the emigrant women after the truce

Translation

✧ The matter of the emigrating women after the truce [The emigration of Umm Kulthūm to the Messenger and his refusal to return her] (Ibn Isḥāq said): Umm Kulthūm bt. ʿUqbah b. Abī Muʿayṭ emigrated to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during that period. Her two brothers ʿImārah and al-Walīd, the two sons of ʿUqbah, went forth until they came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asking him to return her to them by the pact that was between him and Quraysh at al-Ḥudaybiyyah. He did not do so; Allah refused that.
