The Messenger's departure

Translation

✧ Ibn Isḥāq said: Someone I do not distrust related to me from ʿIkrimah, the mawlā of Ibn ʿAbbās, from Ibn ʿAbbās: Quraysh had sent forty men of theirs, or fifty men, and ordered them to surround the camp of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so that they might seize for them someone from his companions. They were seized, and they were brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he pardoned them and let them go, although they had thrown stones and arrows into the camp of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
