Sirat Ibn Hisham 103
What the Arabs used to do with the idols
Translation
✧ [ Al-Lat and its custodians ] Ibn Ishaq said: Al-Lat belonged to Thaqif in al-Taʾif, and its custodians and doorkeepers were the Banu Muʿattib of Thaqif. Ibn Hisham said: I shall mention its account, if God Almighty wills, in its proper place.
