Account of those of the polytheists who were killed on the day of Uḥud
[ مِنْ بَنِي جُمَحَ من قتل من المشركين يوم أحد ] وَمِنْ بَنِي جُمَحَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو: عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ وَهْبِ بْنِ حُذَافَةَ بْنِ جُمَحَ، وَهُوَ أَبُو عَزَّةَ، قَتَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَبْرًا؛ وَأُبَيُّ بْنُ خَلَفِ بْنِ وَهْبِ بْنِ حُذَافَةَ بْنِ جُمَحَ، قَتَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِيَدِهِ. ( رَجُلَانِ ). [ مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرٍ من قتل من المشركين يوم أحد ] وَمِنْ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ: عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ؛ وَشَيْبَةُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْمُضَرَّبِ، قَتَلَهُمَا قُزْمَانُ. ( رَجُلَانِ ) قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: وَيُقَالُ: قَتَلَ عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ جَابِرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ
Translation
✧ From the Banū Jumaḥ of those of the polytheists killed on the day of Uḥud: From the Banū Jumaḥ b. ʿAmr: ʿAmr b. ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿUmayr b. Wahb b. Ḥudhāfah b. Jumaḥ, and he is Abū ʿAzzah; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ killed him in retaliation; and Ubayy b. Khalaf b. Wahb b. Ḥudhāfah b. Jumaḥ; the Messenger of Allah ﷺ killed him with his own hand. (Two men.) From the Banū ʿĀmir of those of the polytheists killed on the day of Uḥud: From the Banū ʿĀmir b. Luʾayy: ʿUbaydah b. Jābir; and Shaybah b. Mālik b. al-Muḍarrab; Quzmān killed both of them. (Two men.) Ibn Hishām said: And it is said: ʿAbd Allāh b. Masʿūd killed ʿUbaydah b. Jābir.
