أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ حَيْوَةَ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هَانِئٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ

«إِنَّ قُلُوبَ ابْنِ آدَمَ مُلْقًى بَيْنَ إِصْبَعَيْنِ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ الرَّحْمَنِ كَقَلْبٍ وَاحِدٍ يَصْرِفُهُ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ» ثُمَّ يَقُولُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «اللَّهُمَّ اصْرِفْ قُلُوبَنَا إِلَى طَاعَتِكَ»

✧ The hearts of the children of Adam are between two fingers of the fingers of the Most Merciful, like a single heart that He turns as He wills. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ says: 'O Allah, turn our hearts toward obedience to You.'
