✧ “People will pass over the bridge of Hell, on which there are thorns, hooks, and claws that snatch people to the right and left. On its sides there are angels saying: ‘O Allah, grant safety, grant safety.’ Among the people, some will pass like the wind, some like a racing horse, some will run, some will walk, some will crawl on hands and knees, and some will drag themselves. As for the people of the Fire, those who are its people, they will neither die nor live. As for some people, they will be seized for their sins and errors and burned, becoming charcoal; then permission will be granted for intercession, and they will be taken in groups and cast into a river of the rivers of Paradise, and they will grow as a seed grows in the silt of a flood.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Have you not seen the wild rue, a plant that grows in open land? Among the last to be brought out of the Fire will be a man at its edge. He will say: ‘O Lord, turn my face away from it.’ Allah will say: ‘Your covenant and your protection: you will not ask Me for anything else.’” He said: “And on the Sirat there will be three trees. He will say: ‘O Lord, move me to this tree so that I may eat of its fruit and be in its shade.’ Allah will say: ‘Your covenant and your protection: you will not ask Me for anything else.’” He said: “Then he will see another tree better than it and say: ‘O Lord, move me to this one so that I may eat of its fruit and be in its shade.’ Allah will say: ‘Your covenant and your protection: you will not ask Me for anything else.’ Then he will see another better than it and say: ‘O Lord, move me to this one so that I may eat of its fruits and be in its shade.’” He said: “Then he will see the crowds of people and hear their voices and say: ‘O Lord, admit me to Paradise.’” Abu Nadrah said: Abu Sa’id and another man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ differed. One of them said: “He will admit him to Paradise and give him the world and the like of it,” and the other said: “He will enter Paradise and be given the world and ten times its like.”
