أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْبَزَّارُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ

عَنْ جُنْدُبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ مَا ائْتَلَفَتْ عَلَيْهِ قُلُوبُكُمْ فَإِذَا اخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِيهِ فَقُومُوا عَنْهُ»

Translation

  1. Aḥmad b. ʿAlī b. al-Muthanná
  2. Khalaf b. Hishām al-Bazzār
  3. Ḥammād b. Zayd
  4. Abū ʿImrān al-Jawnī

✧ From Jundub b. ʿAbd Allāh, who raised it to the Prophet ﷺ; he said, “Recite the Qur’an as long as your hearts are united over it, but when you differ about it, leave it.”
