✧ The delegation of Abd al-Qays came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Welcome to the delegation, not disgraced nor regretful." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, between us and you are the polytheists of Mudar, and we can only reach you during the sacred months. So tell us of an action that, if we adopt it, we will enter Paradise, and we will call those behind us to it." He said, "I command you with four and forbid you from four: faith in Allah." He said, "Do you know what faith in Allah is?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "The testimony that there is no god but Allah, establishing prayer, giving zakat, fasting Ramadan, and giving the fifth of the spoils. And I forbid you from nabidh in gourds, hollowed stumps, green jars, and pitch-covered vessels."
