✧ The Prophet ﷺ stayed between Khaybar and Madinah for three nights, consummating his marriage with Safiyya bint Huyayy. I invited the believers to his wedding feast, and there was no bread or meat in it. He ordered leather mats to be spread, and dates, dried curd, and ghee were placed on them, and that was his wedding feast. The Muslims said, 'Is she one of the Mothers of the Believers, or is she among those whom his right hand possesses?' They said, 'If he veils her, she is one of the Mothers of the Believers, and if he does not veil her, she is among those whom his right hand possesses.' When he departed, he made a cushion for her behind him and extended the veil between her and the people.
