أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ بِمَرْوَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ السِّنْجِيُّ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُمَيْلٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ

قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا تُقِلُّ الْغَبْرَاءُ وَلَا تُظِلُّ الْخَضْرَاءُ عَلَى ذِي لَهْجَةٍ أَصْدَقَ وَأَوْفَى مِنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ شَبِيهِ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ» قَالَ فَقَامَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ أَفَنَعْرِفُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» فَاعْرِفُوا لَهُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: "The dust-colored earth does not carry, nor does the green sky shade, anyone with a tongue more truthful and more loyal than Abu Dharr, resembling Isa ibn Maryam, peace be upon our Prophet and upon him." Then Umar ibn al-Khattab ؓ stood up and said: "O Prophet of Allah, shall we acknowledge that for him?" He said: "Yes, acknowledge it for him."
