✧ There was an exchange of words between me and Ammar ibn Yasir, so Ammar went to complain to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Khalid kept increasing in harshness toward him while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent. Then Ammar wept and said: "O Messenger of Allah, will you not listen to him?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his head toward me and said: "Whoever shows enmity to Ammar, Allah shows enmity to him; and whoever hates him, Allah hates him." So I went out, and nothing became dearer to me than the approval of Ammar. I met him and he was pleased.
