✧ I saw Ammar ibn Yasir on the day of Siffin: an old man, dark-skinned, tall, holding the spear in his hand while his hand trembled. He said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, I have fought with this banner alongside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ three times, and this is the fourth. By the One in whose hand is my soul, if they were to strike us until we reach the palm fronds of Hajar, we would know that our righteous ones are upon the truth and that they are upon falsehood."
