✧ When Salman al-Khayr was on his deathbed, they noticed some anxiety in him. They said, "What distresses you, O Abu ʿAbdillāh, when you have such an outstanding record of good? You witnessed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ noble expeditions and great conquests." He said, "What distresses me is that when our beloved ﷺ parted from us, he made a covenant with us, saying, 'Let the worldly portion of one of you be only as much as a traveler's provision.'"
