أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ

لَمَّا قُتِلَ أَبِي يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ جَعَلْتُ أَبْكِي وَأَكْشِفُ الثَّوْبَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَجَعَلَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَنْهَوْنِي فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَا تَبْكِهِ مَا زَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ بِأَجْنِحَتِهَا تُظِلُّهُ حَتَّى دَفَنْتُمُوهُ»
