أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ

«بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ إِذْ رَأَيْتُ قَدَحًا أَتَيْتُ بِهِ فِيهِ لَبَنٌ فَشَرِبْتُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى إِنِّي لَأَرَى الرِّيَّ يَجْرِي فِي أَظْفَارِي ثُمَّ أَعْطَيْتُ فَضْلِي عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ» قَالُوا فَمَا أَوَّلْتَ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ «الْعِلْمَ»

✧ "While I was sleeping, I saw a cup that was brought to me containing milk. I drank from it until I saw the moisture flowing in my nails, then I gave what was left to 'Umar b. al-Khattab." They said, "How did you interpret that, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Knowledge."
