قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ قَالَ سَالِمٌ
وَسَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ انْطَلَقَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ إِلَى النَّخْلِ الَّتِي فِيهَا ابْنُ صَيَّادٍ حَتَّى إِذَا دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ النَّخْلَ طَفِقَ يَتَّقِي بِجُذُوعِ النَّخْلِ وَهُوَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَسْمَعَ مِنِ ابْنِ صَيَّادٍ شَيْئًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرَاهُ ابْنُ صَيَّادٍ فَرَآهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ مُضْطَجِعٌ عَلَى فِرَاشٍ فِي قَطِيفَةٍ لَهُ فِيهَا زَمْزَمَةٌ فَرَأَتْ أُمُّ ابْنِ صَيَّادٍ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ يَتَّقِي بِجُذُوعِ النَّخْلِ فَقَالَتْ لِابْنِ صَيَّادٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ «لَوْ تَرَكْتِيهِ» قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فِي النَّاسِ فَأَثْنَى عَلَى اللَّهِ بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الدَّجَّالَ فَقَالَ «إِنِّي أُنْذِرُكُمُوهُ مَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا قَدْ أَنْذَرَ قَوْمَهُ لَقَدْ أَنْذَرَ نُوحٌ قَوْمَهُ وَلَكِنِّي أَقُولُ لَكُمْ فِيهِ قَوْلًا لَمْ يَقُلْهُ نَبِيٌّ لِقَوْمِهِ تَعَلَّمُوا أَنَّهُ أَعْوَرُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ»

✧ I heard Ibn Umar say: After that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Ubayy b. Kab went to the palm trees where Ibn Sayyad was. When the Messenger of Allah entered the palm grove, he began to hide behind the trunks of the palm trees, wanting to hear something from Ibn Sayyad before Ibn Sayyad saw him. The Messenger of Allah saw him lying on a bed in a velvet cloak of his, making a murmuring sound. The mother of Ibn Sayyad saw the Messenger of Allah while he was hiding behind the palm trunks, and she called out to Ibn Sayyad. The Messenger of Allah said, "If only you had left him." Ibn Umar said: Then the Messenger of Allah stood among the people and praised Allah as He deserves, then mentioned the Dajjal and said, "I warn you against him. There is no prophet but warned his people against him. Noah warned his people, but I will tell you something about him that no prophet told his people: know that he is one-eyed, and Allah is not one-eyed."
