أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ وَعُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ يَقُولُ
خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «تَزْعُمُونَ أَنِّي مِنْ آخِرِكُمْ وَفَاةً إِنِّي مِنْ أَوَّلِكُمْ وَفَاةً وَتَتْبَعُونِي أَفْنَادًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ»
