✧ I said to Anas b. Malik, 'Tell me something of these wonders that we would not report from anyone but you.' He said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once prayed Zuhr in Madinah, then he came to the sitting places where Jibril used to come to him, and he sat upon them ﷺ. Bilal came and called the Adhan for Asr. Those who had families in Madinah stood up, performed ablution, and took care of their needs, while some men of the Muhajirun remained who had no families in Madinah. A cup containing water was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he placed his fingers in the cup, but it was not wide enough for all his fingers, so he placed these four and said, "Come and perform ablution, all of you."' I said to Anas, 'How many do you estimate they were?' He said, 'Between seventy and eighty.'
