✧ I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with some dates that I had arranged in my hand and said, "O Messenger of Allah, invoke blessing for me in them." He invoked blessing for me in them and said, "When you want to take some, insert your hand and do not scatter them." Abu Hurayrah said: "I carried from those dates such-and-such wasq in the way of Allah, and we used to eat from it and feed others. It was in my waist-wrapper until it was cut off from me during the nights of ʿUthman."
