Sahih Ibn Hibban 6525

Translation

✧ The Muslims heard the call of the Prophet ﷺ in the depths of the night while he was at the well of Badr, calling out, "O Abu Jahl b. Hisham, O Utbah b. Rabi'ah, O Shaybah b. Rabi'ah, O Umayyah b. Khalaf, have you found what your Lord promised to be true?" The Muslims said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you call a people who have become corpses?" He said, "You are not more able to hear what I say than they are, except that they cannot respond to me."
