✧ When this verse was revealed: “And warn your closest kindred” (26:214), the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gathered Quraysh and said: “O assembly of Quraysh, save yourselves from the Fire, for I do not possess for you any harm or benefit.” And to the Banū ʿAbd Manāf he said the like, and to the Banū ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib he said the like. Then he said: “O Fāṭimah bint Muḥammad ﷺ, save yourself from the Fire, for I do not possess for you any harm or benefit, except that you have a kinship tie which I will maintain with its due.”
