أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ غَزْوَانَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَتَى فَاطِمَةَ فَرَأَى عَلَى بَابِهَا سِتْرًا فَلَمْ يَدْخُلْ عَلَيْهَا قَالَ وَقَلَّمَا كَانَ يَدْخُلُ إِلَّا بَدَأَ بِهَا فَجَاءَ عَلِيٌّ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ فَرَآهَا مُهْتَمَّةً فَقَالَ مَا لَكَ؟ فَقَالَتْ جَاءَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ يَدْخُلْ فَأَتَاهُ عَلِيٌّ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فَاطِمَةَ اشْتَدَّ عَلَيْهَا أَنَّكَ جِئْتَهَا وَلَمْ تَدْخُلْ عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَا أَنَا وَالدُّنْيَا وَمَا أَنَا وَالرَّقْمُ» فَذَهَبَ إِلَى فَاطِمَةَ فَأَخْبَرَهَا بِقَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ فَقُلْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنِي؟ قَالَ «قُلْ لَهَا فَلْتُرْسِلْ بِهِ إِلَى بَنِي فُلَانٍ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Fāṭimah and saw a curtain on her door, so he did not enter upon her. He said, “It was rare for him to enter without beginning with her.” ‘Alī, ؓ, came and saw her distressed. He said, “What is with you?” She said, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me and did not enter.” ‘Alī went to him and said, “O Messenger of Allah, Fāṭimah is troubled that you came to her and did not enter upon her.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “What am I to the world and what am I to embroidered cloth?” So ‘Alī went to Fāṭimah and told her the words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She said, “Tell the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: what do you command me?” He said, “Tell her to send it to Banū so-and-so.”
