✧ I said to Abdullah b. Amr, "It has reached me that you say the pen has dried." He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Indeed Allah, Mighty and Exalted, created people in darkness, then took light from His light and cast it upon them. It reached whom He willed and missed whom He willed, and He knew whom it would miss and whom it would reach. Whoever was reached by something of His light is guided, and whoever it missed has gone astray.' That is why I say the pen has dried."
