✧ I entered upon Abdullah b. Umar and said, "They claim that you say the wretched is one who was wretched in his mother's womb." He said, "I do not permit anyone to lie about me. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Indeed Allah created His creation in darkness and cast upon them from His light. Whoever was reached by that light is guided, and whoever missed it goes astray.' That is why I say the pen has dried concerning Allah's, Mighty and Exalted, knowledge."
