أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ بِبُسْتَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ اللَّيْثِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

«مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَمَثَلُ الْإِيمَانِ كَمَثَلِ الْفَرَسِ فِي آخِيَّتِهِ يَجُولُ ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ إِلَى آخِيَّتِهِ وَإِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ يَسْهُو ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ إِلَى الْإِيمَانِ فَأَطْعِمُوا طَعَامَكُمُ الْأَتْقِيَاءَ وَوَلُّوا مَعْرُوفَكُمُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ»

✧ “The example of the believer and faith is like a horse at its tethering post: it roams, then returns to its tethering post. The believer slips, then returns to faith. So feed your food to the pious, and extend your kindness to the believers.”
