أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ بْنُ السَّرْحِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ فَقَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَكِّيُّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِّ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ الشَّمَّاسِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ

أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ «اكْشِفِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ الشَّمَّاسِ» ثُمَّ أَخَذَ تُرَابًا مِنْ بُطْحَانَ فَجَعَلَهُ فِي قَدَحٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ فَصَبَّهُ عَلَيْهِ
